Announcement • The Port Huron Area School District is excited to announce that this year ALL future Kindergarten students will be able to attend Kindergarten Round-up at their neighborhood school. April 24, 2014 4:30-7:00 PM
Enrollment Parents will need to provide the following information at the roundup: • Child’s original birth certificate • Immunization record • Two proofs of residency Michigan law guarantees that all children who are at least five years of age on October 1st are entitled to enroll in the school district in which they are residents (MCL 380.1147).
Kindergarten change in Age Bill Passed – HB 4513 & SB 316 **13-14 School Year – 5 years of age on or before November 1st **14-15 School Year – 5 years of age on or before October 1st **15-16 School Year – 5 years of age one or before September 1st
Request for Waiver Parents will have the opportunity to request a waiver to go back to December 1st for their students who is not 5 years of age by the deadline.

Schools of Choice Schools of Choice Applications will be available at round up. Approval of School of Choices is distributed by the Department of Administrative Services, Mr. Ed Breslin. Telephone: 810-984-3101 ext: 4015
T-Shirt: All children that attend the roundup will receive a free t-shirt with PHASD logo on it • Supplies/Materials: Supplied by the Department of Early Childhood • All Kindergarten teachers will receive a hardcover book to share with the children at the round-up.
