  1. Do you ever feel nervous?There are many ways to overcome your nervousness. Here are eighttips how to control your butterflies when you are speaking in public.

  2. 8 Tips for Speaking in Public • Know your material • Know your audience • Check yourself • Know the room • Keep Eye contact • Add humor • Use audio –visual aids • Relax

  3. Know the Material • Pick a topic you are interested in and Know more about it. • Make a draft of your speech. • Do practice.

  4. Know your Audience • Know to whom you are speaking and know who your audience is. • Try to put your shoes in their shoes.

  5. Check yourself Check yourself in the mirror before presenting and wear proper attire(Dress appropiately for each occasion).

  6. Keep Eye Contact Have direct eye contact with number of people in the audience and then glance at the whole audience while speaking.

  7. Know the room • Arrive early, look around in the speaking area and practice using the microphone and any visual aids. • Rehearse out loud with all equipment you plan on using.

  8. Add Humor Keep audience interested throughout your entire presentation.

  9. Use Audio-Visual Aids Use audio – visual aids to enhance your presentation, be sure all necessary equipment is set up and in good working order prior to the presentation.

  10. Relax • Begin by addressing the audience. It buys you time and calms your nerves. • Transform nervous energy into enthusiasm.
