Identifying Maintenance Needs • Pavement Condition Evaluation System (PACES) • Daytime Inspection • Night Inspection • Drainage Inspection • Bridge Inspection • Visual Observation and Reported deficiency
Pavements - Target Condition Levels • Maintain interstates with 50,000 or greater ADT at a PACES Rating of 80 or more • Maintain all other interstates at a PACES Rating of 75 or more • Maintain multi-lane non interstate routes with an ADT of 25,000 or greater at a PACES Rating of 75 or more • Maintain other routes at a PACES Rating of 70 or more

Target Condition Levels • Guardrail repairs Interstate repairs to be made within 2 days of notification, divided highways repairs within 5 days and others within 1 month. • Drainage Maintenance 75% of drainage structures are to be maintained with an inspection score of 70 or higher. • Mowing – Interstates mowed 3 times yearly, non – interstates mowed 2 times yearly (all mowable areas)
Bridges - Target Condition Levels • Maintain bridges such that they can carry all legal loads • Maintain bridges such that the decks are in fair condition, or better
