Instructions • Class will divide into 2 groups-left side and right side of class • Each group will pick a leader • Each group will have 1 dry-erase marker and one mini dry-erase board • Groups will have 1 minute to answer each question. • In the end the team with the most points will get 5 bonus points on their next test • Point will be kept by teacher on board

  3. Get Ready… • 5 minutes to get desks together and pick leader • Teacher must know leader • Leader must get board and marker

  4. Group 1 What is the total number of female athletes?

  5. Answer 48

  6. Group 2 What is the formula for finding the percentage of male soccer players?

  7. Answer %= 18/(18+17)

  8. Group 1 What percentage of baseball players have a GPA of 3.0 or higher? Show formula

  9. Answer 8/(0+12)=66.67

  10. What sport has the 3rd largest percentage of male athletes? Group 2

  11. Answer Soccer with 9%

  12. Group 1 If there are a total of 48 females and 100 males and 68 of all athletes have a 3.0 GPA or higher, what is the percentage of students with a high GPA?

  13. Answer 68/(48+100)=45.9

  14. Group 2 Are there more male or female athletes?

  15. Answer Male

  16. Group 1 If 68 out of 148 athletes have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, what is the percentage of student athletes that do not have a GPA of 3.0 or higher?

  17. Answer 148-68=80 80/148=54%

  18. Group 2 There are 11 basketball players that do have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. If 6 basketball players do not have a GPA of 3.0 or better, what is the percentage of those that do?

  19. Answer 11/(11+8)=64.7%
