  2. Design a Political Poster • Thoreau’s essay was inspired by his political protest of the poll taxes funding a war in which he did not believe. After reading an essay, design a political poster based on your reading of this essay. What is it about government and what citizens SHOULD do that Thoreau is advocating for? Make that clear in the message your poster sends. • Include both a slogan and visual images that convey Thoreau’s political views. You may choose to adapt one of Thoreau’s quotes from “Civil Disobedience” into your slogan. • This must be COLORFUL, neat and attractive. • As you plan your design, think about what catches your attention of the best political posters or campaigns.
