  5. Language is abstract & ambiguous • Not always as clear • Connotative - emotion • Denotative - dictionary • Static evaluative – I’m shy…is a nervous guy…short-tempered… • Grammar rules and structure

  6. Language is relative • slow, smart, short, long – defined only through comparison • It’s likely… • It’s cold… • It’s cheap • It’s easy
