  9. Impressions from Teachers “We have made a deliberate, conscious, meta-cognizant decision to put science on the backburner for the reason to put reading and math forward. That is the result of a minority group struggling with literature and math.” “We don’t teach science because we teach to the test and science isn’t scored…” “Because of the NCLB Act students do not know how to work in groups. … Teachers don’t give up time to allow for outside presentation because of mandated teaching limits due to prescribed curriculum.”
