JobNet 3.0 Enhancements Prototype My Favorite Job Search Enhancement Email Alerts
User performs a job search using the Enhanced Job Search and receives a list of jobs. Currently there are two methods by which a job seeker can search for jobs in JobNet 3.0 using the “Quick Search” or “Enhanced Search” method. Given that there is a plan to eliminate JobNet 2.0 this enhancement will only be applied to the “Enhanced Search” method.
My Favorite Job Search Information Page- This page will be displayed when the user clicks on the “Save Search” button on a job listing page or if the user clicks on the “edit” link on the My Favorite Job Search list page.
Notes • The email address will be defaulted based on the email address in the JobNet 3.0 registration. The customer’s email address is already an optional field collected as part of the JobNet 3.0 registration process. • For the question "How often would you like to receive an email of your search results?" the choices for the drop down list will be Never, Daily, and Weekly. Daily will be the default choice for the email frequency question. • Email Address will be required if the user answers “Daily” or “Weekly” to the email frequency question. Email Address and the Email Options field will not be required or displayed if the user answers “Never” to the email frequency question. • For the "Email Options" field the choice "Send me all listings that match my search criteria" will be the default choice. • Updating the email address on the saved search page does not update the JobNet 3.0 registration email address.
Example of HTML Email Notice The links to the job orders would require logon to JobNet 3.0. After logon if the user would be taken to the job order they selected in their search results. If the user has logged onto JobNet 3.0 by clicking a link in the email message additional links clicked should not require logon to JobNet 3.0.
Notes • Listing emails should allow veterans to view job orders on veterans hold. • Job order pages for un-suppressed job orders contain a link titled “See all jobs by this employer”. Allow the search results displayed by the “See all jobs by this employer” link to be saved.
