Step 1: Assessment To start the education program, the system suggests students take an Assessment test, to measure the skill level in ICT Literacy. • Questions: high quality simulation • Tests with difficulty level and contents strictly similar to certification level • Access through Client and Code: track students performance 2 November 2010
Step 2: Planning After 1 , results are sent to the central system, students receive the detailed performance analysis and the system proposes a study plan tailored to their needs. A facilitator can be on hand to assist students • Detailed performance reports by module, illustrating to users their current performance level and learning gaps • According to results, the system suggests what lessons to follow and which exercises to do to enhance their knowledge. • It becomes candidate’s “to do list” and it’s automatically updated according to students activities 2 November 2010
Skills Evaluation Planning Useful tool to address students according to skills level No wasting time going through learning process for the specific Module, but direct access to Test Center (fast track for enrollment to exam session) 2.a. “exam ready” level Initial “mass” assessment and skill map identification (by ICDL Module) Focus on suggested knowledge areas to effectively close gaps: efficiency and time saving Post-training assessment as level of preparation check 2.b. “intermediate ” level (self-learning) 4. Official certification exam at Test Center 3. Funneled to traditional learning with tutors (eventually integrated with self-learning tools) 2.c. “basic” level (standard blended/ class training) 2 November 2010
Step 3: Learning Following the learning path suggested by the system, students access the learning contents and watch the lessons. Organized in smart learning pills, the contents fruition is easy and motivates the study. • Designed for each module, covering every section of ICDL syllabus • Contents available on-line and off-line • Direct access to each part of every learning content • Menu with pills graphic preview to facilitate the navigation • Lessons developed with detailed flash animations and audio recorded by professional speakers. Speeches available also in text format, on the “notes” section of the menu. 2 November 2010
Step 4: Training Also according to learning path suggested by the system, students access the training material: practice exercises in a safe simulation environment • Simulation of the real use of applications • Immediate feedback to each confirmed answer • Access through Client and Code: track students activities 2 November 2010
