  2. GEOSS 10 Year Implementation Plan Reference Document • Purpose is: • to provide detail to complement the 10 Implementation Plan • form the basis for actions in the GEOSS being prepared in year 2005 and subsequent work plans • but the document remains a “reference” not a “negotiated” text

  3. GEOSS 10 Year Implementation Plan Reference Document • Process of preparing the Document has: • involved scientists globally for content • been reviewed by peers, GEO Members and Participants • Overall some 2500 comments have been received and addressed

  4. GEOSS 10 Year Implementation Plan Reference Document • Text updated since GEO-5 to: • accommodate the final delegate inputs since GEO-5 • ensure consistency with the “negotiated 10 year text • a glossy draft of the document has been distributed and when accepted will be printed
