  1. STUDNIA TRZECH BRACI

  2. A long time ago, where now you can find a charming town of Cieszyn, there was a thick and vast forest. One day three brothers came to this forest. They were called Lech, Czech and Rus. They decided to hunt some wild animals. They set off and rode together for some time.

  3. But after a while Lech saw a magnificent deer and started chasing it through thick mud. ale po chwili Lech ujrzał wspaniałego jelenia i  przedzierał na koniu się przez głębokie błoto

  4. Rus wanted to catch a bear, which had found its hideout behind a bush of really prickly wildberries. Rus’s horse got badly scratched by the thorns.

  5. Czech saw a wild boar and rushed after it. The boar ran towards a deep ditch, but Czech’s horse stood scared in front of it.

  6. The brothers did not pay attention to the obstacles, they rushed deeper and deeper into the forest to catch the chosen animal. They rode for a long time and finally – the sun set and it got dark. They realised they were alone in the middle of the night. Jechali długo, aż w końcu zapadła noc, a każdy z nich został sam.

  7. They started shouting and screaming and they spent the whole night looking for each other.

  8. When the morning came, they saw a stream, which each of them decided to follow. At the spring – the place from which the stream sprang up from under the ground – they all finally met.

  9. They were so happy that they decided to found a town in this very place. They called the town Cieszyn, because in Polish there is a verb “cieszyć”, which means “be happy about something”.
