Diabetes guideline implementation: • National co-ordinated approach • Collaborating with Diabetes MCNs • Scottish Government Diabetes Action Plan • Raising awareness • Partnering with Diabetes UK & ABPI to deliver local workshops • Auditing key recommendations through the National Diabetes Audit

  9. GP prompted to measure peak flow. The assessment tools shows that PFR is around 66% of predicted. Evidence of airways obstruction. All information is correctly Read coded back to the encounter.

  10. Guideline is fully integrated with the underlying GP system. Asthma management screen shows options available.

  11. Another implementation opportunity:Linking to Quality Outcomes Framework • SIGN is now part of NHS Evidence • Revision of QoF uses NHS Evidence as its main evidence base • SIGN recommendations are now considered when QoF is revised
