Student Record Privacy Parent/Guest Access In compliance with the Federal Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, information about a student’s account may not be released to the third party without the student’s written permission. Parent/Guest Access to the student portal can be granted by the student to their parent/guest. Limited access to student account information

Important Dates & Deadlines Fall Bills – mailed early July - due early August (subtract aid, loans, scholarships, etc) Bills available online 24/7 at Eagle Finance Financial Aid - complete entrance counseling and master promissory notes for any accepted Stafford loans @ studentloans.gov Financial Aid Disbursement – (pending aid on bill; loans disbursed week before classes start) “Pending MPN confirmation” until loan pays out

Parent Plus Loan – 7.9% Apply at studentloans.gov Alternative loans – Washington Mentorship Program Outside sources of payment (529 plans; Veterans benefits; outside scholarships)

  7. Payment Plan • American Installment Plan – Semester Based • Fall Semester (5 month, 4 month, 3 month, 2 month) • $30 charge • The earlier you sign up, the more options you have as to which plan to participate in • Applications available June 28 • First payment due August 1

  8. FAQs • How do I maintain my financial aid for next year? • Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) • File FAFSA by May 1 (CSS Profile not required) • Similar financial circumstances (income; number in college)

  9. FAQs I don’t need AU’s health insurance. How do I waive it? I am getting an outside scholarship. How will it affect my financial aid award? What is Tuition Refund Insurance? How do I get proof of enrollment for my scholarship/car insurance/etc?
