  35. Internal Training by Canon’s Evan Cheng Training Feedback • Evan was clear in his explanation. He did speak a little too fast at times, but in general participants understood him. • His presentation slides and training videos were interesting and useful in getting his points across. • Evan demonstrated the WIFI function for the new Selphy and got each of the training participants to try out using their iPhones. But due to iPhone issue, most participants were not able to download the Canon app. Ratha made a good suggestion that we should get a iPad for showroom, so that staff can demonstrate this function to customers. • Participants also enjoyed the hands-on training on projectors. After explaining the key functions of each model, participants were divided into groups and each group had to demonstrate how to use the projector or change the settings as requested by Evan. • All the participants felt that hands-on training was extremely useful and made them more confident in explaining the functions to the customers. • After the class, Evan also took time to demonstrate the WIFI capabilities at the showroom and got each of showroom girl present to test out the function. Future training: • All felt that it will be highly beneficial to have Evan back again. Service Manager mentioned that this training should be on-going as it takes time to fully understand a product and participants may forget what they have learned. He also suggested that future training should focus on the showroom girls, and perhaps organizing multiple training shifts so that all the showroom girls will receive the training. There is also the potential of training dealer’s sales staff, which will not only help drive sales but also strengthen our relationship and commitment to our dealers.
