  4. Personal Interpretation Gypsies are people who interpret your dreams. They show you the path you should take and help you make decisions in your life to get to your personal legend.

  5. Author’s purpose The author’s purpose of including a gypsy in this novel was so that Santiago could discover what his dreams meant and he could start his journey. (develop plot)

  6. Stereotypes Most gypsy’s are Jewish They travel, though not like a flock of sheep. They are dishonest Spent their life tricking people Had a pact with the devil, kidnapped children They are almost always girls.
