  16. Revolution • Green Revolution Industrial Revolution Information Technology Revolution Wellness Revolution All Revolution concerned with social & Individual Development L.Siddiquee

  17. Four Generation of Time Management 1st Generation -Note - Check List Produces pressure on Time & Energy and tries to face them. L.Siddiquee

  18. 2ndGeneration This generation can be traced as a year of- Calendar- Appointment bookFuture work and time would be spend by seeing the calendar and dates. L.Siddiquee

  19. 3rd Generation • This generation focuses on goal setting- Specific goal- Mid term goal- Short term goal1. This generation emphasis's on the value of life and produces pressure on time and energy in achieving the goal.2. The concept of daily plan is also included.3. It means, to get the mission of your life you must have some clear cut or specific goals. L.Siddiquee

  20. Demerit of 3rd Generation Since it focuses on efficiency Therefore • It does not help in developing a good relationship or human needs and one can not enjoy in their daily life. • The people become disinterested to manage their time. • They start to through the water from tub including the child. • They don’t take care about the important thing or they can't differentiate between the important thing & important thing . And finally they return to the technique of fist and second generation. L.Siddiquee

  21. 4th Generation This generation has considered that the word time management is wrong • It is not a challenge to manage the time • It’s a challenge to manage ourselves with time • Satisfaction is the outcomes of aspectation and achievement The fourth generation doesn't focuses on materials and time. L.Siddiquee

  22. Focus of 4th Generation It focuses on • Making relation ship • To make deep relationship • Result oriented task • To balance the P/PC activities. L.Siddiquee

  23. Time Management Part 2 Principle of Time Management L.Siddiquee

  24. How much time you have? How can you say that you have no time while all those people namely Helen killer, Louis pacheur. Michael Anzelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo Da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson Had the same time – H. Jackson Brown. There are 24 Hrs in a Day Sleeping & Bathing 8 Hrs. Eating 2 Hrs. 10 Hrs. L.Siddiquee

  25. Remaining Time- 14 Hrs58% Time is Controllable42% Time is Uncontrollableif our age is 100 Yrs.Total days of our life = 36500days spent------remaing days -----if you want to do some task or want to be some special person.Try to learn for using your valuable time L.Siddiquee

  26. How Valuable Your Time is Time is money but it is not fully correct time is possible money if you utilize your time then you can earn money if you misuse your time then you are losing the chance of your possible money do you know? What is the value of your time what is the value of your hour? Your value of one hour =your income/ working hrs. =10,000/24*8 =50 Rs. If you are wasting you 1 hour you are loosing of Rs.50/per day. In one year 365*50=18250=00. you are loosing. L.Siddiquee

  27. If you are wasting 2 hour you are loosing Rs.100in one year 365*100=36,500.by using the above formula you can use or your can decide how to use your time effectively. L.Siddiquee

  28. Ten principle of Time Management • Set your goals & objectives. • Do most Important work first/ First Thing First. • Multi tasking (do more than one work at a time) • Delegate the work. • Know the PARETO 20/80 rule. • Take the benefit of Parkinson’s law. • Use your prime time. • Manage your self. • Make schedule of your work/ Make Time - Table. • Work, Work, Work…..Engage your self in work. L.Siddiquee

  29. #1 SET YOUR GOALS • General goalI will work more I will improve my skill.I will increase by ability.Specific goalI will do 8 hrs work dailyI will earn Rs. 20,000 this month. L.Siddiquee

  30. If a person wants to earn. 10,000Rs.if he sell the product earn profit Rs. 50/- then number of product=10,000/50=200 he will have to sell 200 product it he works.25 days in a month then he will have to sell 8 product every day & he can not make any excuse.Money goals is just like a one day cricket match after one team made score the other team will have to follow the score for win and that team will decide the required run per over. L.Siddiquee

  31. 2 - DO MOST IMPORTANT THINGS FIRST A fool do the work in the last minute while a wise man do the same work at once both do the same work. The only difference is “TIME”. The second principle of Time Management is Do First Thing first. • we do our task as per daily routine but we spent lot of time in our unimportant task. • A wise man should be very much careful. • Success can be achieved by performing the Important task only. A story of Musician lady Violin Learning, she doesn’t get time to practice. But for her the practice was important. L.Siddiquee

  32. SETTING DAILY GOALSTHE TO DO LIST • A well known story of Charles Schwab. • When he was president of Bethlehem steel in the United states. • He called in Ivy Lee a consultant and said show me a way to get more things done will my time and I will pay you any fee within reason. • Fine lee replied. I will give you some thing in 20 minutes that will step up your output at least 50 percent. • Lee hand Schwab a Blank piece of paper and said write down the six important task that you have to do tomorrow and number them in order of their importance. L.Siddiquee

  33. Now put the paper in your pocket and the first thing tomorrow morning look at item one and start working on it until you finished then do item two and so on.- Do this until quitting time and don’t be concerned if you have finish it only one or two.- Then on tomorrow list put the important task on the list until you have your six important task one your list each day.- Do this every working day. If a task is on your list for more then a week for get it you are only playing games.- This way you will always be working on the most important ones first. L.Siddiquee

  34. - Then lee said Try this system every working day. After you have convinced yourself of the value of the system. Try it as long as you wish and then send me a cheque for what you think its worth. Several week later Schwab sent lee a cheque for $ 25000 with a note proclaiming the address more profitable he had ever followed. This concept helped Schwab to earn $ 100 million and to turn Bethlehem steel into one of the biggest independent steel producer in the world. L.Siddiquee

  35. # 3 Multitasking (Doing work more than two or more at a time) “ A normal person do one work at a time while a successful person do many work at one time.” • Ruler of Mysore :- Does three no. of work • Watching the play • Writing a letter • Discussion • Mahatma Gandhi • Traveling and • Sleeping • Napoleon • Going for a war (visiting) • Writing letter L.Siddiquee

  36. Multitasking (Doing work more then two or more at a time) • Thomas Edison • Traveling by Train • Experimenting • Bill Gates • Traveling • Telephone Calles • Salesman Life:- 45% time spent on Traveling. Hence during the period of Traveling. He can do the following work. L.Siddiquee

  37. Multitasking (Doing work more then two or more at a time) • Reading Books • Listening Tapes • Mobiles • For Us: • Taking Dinner • Watching TV News • Lunch Meeting L.Siddiquee

  38. #4 - DELEGATION • All work can not be performed by an individual. • One who like to do all work/ task He/She will never be success. • Every person need to do Important. Things first but up to certain extent beyond limit it is not advisable. • It is very difficult to faith on others potential ability and intelligence. • But even though some work should be delegated. L.Siddiquee

  39. ART OF DELEGATION To know and understand • Which work to be delegated. • To whom to be delegated • Do most Important and secret by do your own and routine work can be given to others. L.Siddiquee

  40. #5 - PARETO RULE 20/80 “Only to be busy is not enough the question is in which work your are busy.” According to this Rule: • Your 20% priority gives 80% result. • Investment of 20% time will give 80% result. • Invest your time energy and money as per your priorities. • Actually this rule make us very careful to set your goal and priorities. • If you think that you are working hard and not getting the result then follow Rule. L.Siddiquee

  41. 6. It is not so important how can you work hard but the important is how smartly you work.7. You have to trace how you are spending your time and every in pursuit of goal. L.Siddiquee

  42. SETTING PRIORITIES THE 80/20 RULE L.Siddiquee

  43. #6 -Parkinson’s Law There is a bad News for you, what is that, the time is flying but the Good News is that, you are the pilot. -Michal Althuslar “Work expands or shrinks according to time availability. • If we plan more work in less time the work will be finished in the same time frame. • If we plan less work in the same time the time will shrink and we could be able to do less work. L.Siddiquee

  44. Therefore follow the Parkinson's law- • If goal is high achievement will be higher. e.g. in one day cricked the one team follow the other team score. If it is 430 or 275 in the limited over of 50. the other team tries of follow the same score and reaches and wins. The team will make either 431 or 276to win. • Similarly when we plan to go for summer vacation holydays we finish our job before the Journey. • Hence nature of work is also related with time shrinks or expansion. • Some how it is also depends upon our aptitude. If we like the work we finish it within no time but if we don’t like it becomes delay. L.Siddiquee

  45. #7 Do your work in your Prime Time Don’t leave the important task unfinished. Gete • As we know television prime time- 8:00 am to 10:00 pm More advertisement Advertisement rate is high L.Siddiquee

  46. 2. Similarly in 24 hours of a day there are few hours in which you feel very energetic, comfortable enthusiastic that is called your prime time. Therefore do most hard work in your prime time.3. Every person has their own prime time in 24 hours of by may be Morning, Afternoon or Night . You should select the prime time for doing the hard work/ most important work. L.Siddiquee

  47. #8 Self Management A person who dares to spend one hour he cannot understand the value of his life. Charles Darvin • Mismanagement may produce problems. • We simply waste our time knowingly. • We have faults within our selves therefore we have to manage our self. • The example of mis management is loss of file. • Normally people loose their 30 minutes in file searching. • Due to laziness we can not keep the file at the right place. L.Siddiquee

  48. Self Management • But when needed we become mad. • The another face of mis management is to become sick. • Our life style; Imbalanced food lack of sleep , worries, tension and bad habit invites us for sickness. • If we want to save our time we have to take care of PC/Production Capability. • The another face of mis management is to consume less or more food. L.Siddiquee

  49. Self Management If we consume more food we become lazy. It reduces our concentration and energy and we do not work properly. • If we take less food we become sick and suffer from headache and in future we may become mentally harassed. • And we can not work with full concentration & full of energy. Another condition of Mis management is unimportant discussion. • Direct discussion. • Indirect discussion (on telephone) L.Siddiquee

  50. If we have the point we can discussion on telephone point wise.- But when we talk on telephone we forget the important points. The another condition of mismanagement is-- To meet a person without appointment.- May be wanting & wasting the timeRemember1. If your daily routine is managed your life can be managed.2. If your life is managed you can manager your time successfully. L.Siddiquee
