Visible Web vs. Deep Web The visible web is content on the web where search tools like Google can find, index, and offer to users as the result of a search. The deep web (sometimes called the dark web or the invisible web) is part of the web that can’t be found directly by searching popular search tools.
The deep web includes primary sources, statistics, and scholarly works that you may want to access for research purposes. If you don’t find what you are looking for using Google, it doesn’t mean it isn’t out there, but you may have to use a different search engine or look in a specialized data base to find it.
If you can’t find the information or credible websites you need using Google try using . . . (or another specialized data base)
