  3. Information About John • John was born in Owingsville; 1831 Kentucky • , the son of john wills hood (1798- 1852) a doctor and Theodosia French hood (1801-1886).

  5. Early Life • Hood graduated in 1853, Ranked 44th in a class of 52 that originally numbered 96 after a near explosion in his final year for excessive 196 of a permeable 200

  6. How He Died • John bell hood: Died of Yellow fever during the winter of 1878-79 and succumbed to the disease himself dying just ten days after his wife and oldest child ,leaving 10 destitute orphans

  7. Certain Symptoms cause by the yellow fever mosqoitos. • Symptoms –stage 1(infection) headache ,muscle and joints aches ,fever flushing , loss of appetite • Stage 2-(Remission) fever and other symptoms go away some get worse within 24hrs • Stage 3- (intoxication) problems with many organs occur this may include heart ,liver ,and kidney failure ,bleeding disorders ,seizures ,coma ,and delirium.
