  3. The 23rd pair of chromosomes that determines gender and other traits. X and Y. • XX for females and XY for males • Organism that has one recessive allele for a trait, but doesn’t show the trait. • They are mostly male.

  4. Biology – Th. 3/15 Warm Up • What are the sex chromosomes? • What is the genotype for males? For females? • What is a carrier? • List all the people you know who are color blind. Review quiz Stamp and review di-hybrid crosses ws Sex-linked traits notes and ws

Reebops • Cut out chromosomes lay them out side by side • Fill in punnett squares on back • turn chromosomes upside down, keeping the pairs together • For each trait, pull one chromosome from each parent and record in genotypes column • Circle your reebop’s genotypes in the punnett squares • Make reebop • Place on scrap paper with your name on it on side counter • Clean up
