NPS Activities/Efforts • Eastern All Hazard Incident Management Team coordinated among Northeast, Southeast, and National Capital Regions • EAHIM Team available to assist impacted parksEach park has a disaster recovery plan w/some data • Southeast Region developing park “tool kits” • Comprehensive GIS planning/resources are lacking • Needs or Gaps* disaster response geospatial data set for each park* funds to complete data sets* models of threats (storm surge, wind damage, etc.)* identify and train staff available for quick response* update park plans and EAHIM Team preparedness
