Overview • Status of current AIM I/II courses • Status of curriculum developer courses (CPPD) • CCMM role for CSFE • LearningCenter role in AIM User Training • CPM/LO Module Training
Current AIM I/II courses • AIM I and AIM II Rel 4.0 user training courses: • updated by AIM team per current release • used monthly in Norfolk and San Diego convenings • provided to CSFE as basis for formal Navy CIN-based curricula and segmentation to support lab sessions in new curriculum developer courses
Upcoming AIM I/II courses • AIM I and AIM II Rel 5.0 user training courses: • Being updated by AIM team per Rel 5.0 • Will be used in monthly Norfolk and San Diego convenings once Rel 5.0 NMCI certified • Issue: how to phase in Rel 5.0 user training for Central Site users while maintaining Rel 4.0 for others prior to NMCI certification of 5.0 • NAWCTSD will provide to CSFE/CPPD as basis for update of formal Navy CIN-based curricula and segmentation to support lab sessions in new curriculum developer courses
Curriculum Developer (CD) Course • CD JDTA and BCA approved • TPPs for Task-based CD Pipeline (NAVEDTRA 130) approved • September 2011 – Pilot of Courses 1 - 4 by CPPD with AIM II-based lab sessions • March 2012 – Pilot of Courses 5 & 6 by CPPD with AIM II-based lab sessions • NAVEDTRA 136 CPM/LO Module version to be piloted in FY12 • NAVEDTRA 131 AIM I version to be piloted in late FY13
Task Based Curriculum Developer (TBCD) Pipeline Courses: • Course 1: Planning (3 days) • Course 2: Analysis & Design (4 days) • Course 3: Development of LP, TG, IMM (4 days) • Course 4: Testing (3 days) • Course 5: Pilot, Implementation, Evaluation (1 day) • Course 6: Maintenance (3 days)
CCMM Role for CSFE • Baseline current AIM I Rel 4.0 and AIM II Rel 4.0 user training courses provided by AIM PM • Develop and maintain TPPs for new formal version of AIM II/CPM-LO Module/AIM I user training curriculum – AIM II/CPM-LO Module/AIM I TPPs submitted to NETC N7 • AIM team working with CSFE/CPPD to modularize AIM I/II user training as lab sessions in consolidated Curriculum Developer (CD) courses • AIM Pgm Mgr will continue AIM I / II / CPM-LO Module stand-alone user training delivery monthly at Dam Neck and San Diego in addition to integration into CD Courses
Center Role in AIM User Training • NETC N74 and AIM PM conducted Center-based “train the trainer” courses on both coasts during FY10 • Centers nominated students for “train the trainer” courses based NETC-defined pre-requisites • Center-based AIM user training to begin as soon as possible (pilot as part of AIM II CD pilot at Dam Neck; scheduled for September 2011) • AIM Pgm Mgr will support Learning Center CCMM via TSA Role
CPM/LO Module Training • AIM team amplified baseline CD JDTA/TTA with KSATRs for CPM/LO Module • Formal CPM/LO Module ILT pilot conducted at Dam Neck 9-11 Feb • West Coast CPM/LO Module ILT pilot scheduled in San Diego 11-13 Oct • AIM Pgm Mgr has added CPM/LO Module training into the FY12 monthly user training course schedule • frequency based on demand • conducted by AIM team trainers in Norfolk and San Diego and on-site as arranged with AIM Pgm Mgr • this training will also form the basis for the lab portion of the NAVEDTRA 136 CD course
