  5. DUTY AND TAXATION • Duty rates: range from 30-35% • Duty waiver possible • Surtax at 20% • Royalties vary from 5 to 10% • Corporate Tax at 35% • Capital allowance at 20%

YEAR 2000 EXPLORATION UPDATE • GSD: geo-chemical sampling on Au anomalies in the Kirk Range • Lisungwe Valley Mineral Resources identified 18 targets for Au, Ni-Cr and PGM minerals in the Kirk Range • Placer Dome/Phelps Dodge: geological mapping and reconaissance drilling in the Shire Highlands on Cu-Ni anomaly.
