  4. Mania: Decreased need for sleep Delusions or breaks from reality Racing Thoughts Spending sprees or unwise financial decisions Extreme Optimism Euphoria Inability to concentrate Agitation or Irritation Rapid Speech Careless use of drugs and alcohol

  5. Relationships can be tough. With the mania, money can be overspent and savings lost. Abuse within the relationship and with drugs is common in the mania phase

  6. Victims of Bipolar Disorder live for the mania. The nonstop happiness makes the whole disorder worth it for them.

  7. This doesn’t last though….

  8. The Higher You Fly The Lower YouFALL

  10. depression: hopelessness Loss of interest in daily activities Low or decreased appetite sadness sleep problems fatigue anxiety guilt suicidal thoughts or behaviors

  11. Depression in relationships is just as bad as mania. The withdrawn and shell like person that use to be your spouse is infuriating. This is why 2/3 of bipolar marriages fail.

  12. The depression is the bad side of the disorder. The depression can feel worse than the normal depression because the mania is also felt. This can be part of the reason Bipolar Disorder is the sixth leading cause of disability internationally

  13. This doesn’t last though.....

  32. Environment:

  33. Why should YOU care???

  34. Children and teens Is affecting DAILY Because bipolar disorder More and more

  35. Either because of a family member is a victim A friend Or themselves

  36. A child dealing with problems more than most adults can handle…..

  37. That person can be the person sitting next to you

  38. Your lab partner

  39. Or Your Best Friend
