The content present in every podcast may vary greatly among the widely available niches. However, this new technology certainly has the capacity to be used in an educational setting. The multimedia episodes are step up from radio broadcasts and are increasingly easier to access through mobile devices. This readily available technology poses as a potent tool for educators in many different aspects, most of which were not available in the past. 3. Turnitin.com Turnitin.com does not express an overwhelming presence in the contemporary classroom. However, this software does pose as an excellent tool for educators to non-manually search for plagiarism. Ultimately leading to higher productivity for educators and better writing skills for students. According to a statistical analysis this graph shows A 35% decrease in un-original content in student work over the years. This represents a higher efficacy in todays new classroom. On another note, this software allows for enhanced Feedback, student engagement and productivity which would otherwise not exist. 4. Twitter, Facebook & Social Media Social media has allowed society to communicate without physical and distance boundaries, as well as share information and news worldwide. Recently these social media sites like Twitter and Facebook have found themselves inside contemporary classrooms to enhance the learning experience for students. The cost of these websites is free, and relatively easy to operate. Many teachers have even opted to implement the use of tools like twitter in college classes in order to increase interaction and participation. However, some schools and teachers remain skeptical about the damaging effects, cyber bullying, and difficulty to monitor. These can be further explored by clicking the picture.  Even though this new social media in the classroom be a powerful tool in todays classroom it is lacking certain attributes that would consolidate its impact.

5. Blackboard Blackboard is a tool that allows faculty to add resources for students to access online. PowerPoint, Captivate, video, audio, animation, and other applications are created outside of Blackboard and added into Blackboard courses for students to enhance teaching and learning efforts. As of December 2013, Blackboard's Learning Management System had over 20,000 organizations signed up with more than 20 million users. 7. Internet The internet was introduced in 1982 and has been positively making an impact on our society. It can be accessed almost anywhere through the use of cellular devices or tablets/laptops etc. • Without the internet none of these new methods of teaching and new literacies would have ever been possible. • Podcast • Twitter/Facebook • Blackboard • Turnitin.com The internet provides servers for “clients” to transfer useful/important information without the need of delivering documents in person. The world wide web allows for faster research at your own leisure, narrowing your options to specifics. Internet Users Many college students rely on the internet for completing assignments and studying. Not to mention, it has been one of America’s main recourse for social networking and entertainment, which is very well managed and used on an every day basis.
