  2. Entering Class B & B! • The procedure is to quietly come into class, sit in your seat, log on and immediately begin these two things: • Check the Blog to see what we will be doing today: • Go to the middle school’s website. • Click on “Teacher Websites.” • Click on “Antol, Alicia” • Click on “Keyboarding” • Click on “View Blog” • Complete Bell work. (The class blog will explain what to do for bell work.) Don’t Worry! We’ll Practice!

  3. Tardies • If you enter the classroom after class has started, please DO NOT disturb the class in any way. • Instead, follow these steps: • Sign your name on the clipboard. • If you have a pass, quietly hand it to me. • Take your seat. • After 3 unexcused tardies, I will call home as stated in the school policy.

  4. Restroom Passes • If you really need to use the restroom while you are in this class: • If at all possible, wait until instruction is over. • Fill out a pass in your planner & bring it to me to sign. • Sign out on the clipboard.

  5. Miscellaneous • Throwing Things Away: • Put unwanted materials in the trashcan, NOT on the floor or table. • If recyclable, please use the recycle bin! • Respect your computer: • You should NOT unplug cords, pound on the keys, intentionally make it difficult for the next person to log in, etc.

  6. Printer Usage • I won’t ask you to print very often. • You may use the printer for this class only when specifically instructed to do so. • You may use the printer otherwise IF and only if: • You are finished with classwork. • What you are printing is for school. • You have proofread AND checked the Print Preview to ensure it will print the way you want it to.

  7. Turning In Work • Papers: Turn any handouts and worksheets into the tray for your class period when finished. • Computer Files: • Save them in your X-drive  Keyboarding folder • This will ensure that you can find your files when it comes time to check them!

  8. Getting Work Back • We will have very few papers in this class. • I will hand them back so that you can see your grade. • You make keep them if you want. • If you do not want to keep them, please put them in the recycle bin. • You can check grades using Pinnacle. • If you do not know how to log into Pinnacle, stop by to see Mrs. Yeich when you get a chance! • I will also periodically share your grades with you. • If you’re ever curious, just ask!

  9. Absent Work • If you are absent, check the blog to see what you missed. • When you return to school, check the “extra copies” folder for any handouts or worksheets you missed. • If you missed any notes, ask a classmate to help you catch up. • If you have any questions, please see me. 

  10. Missing Work • Missing Work: • Check Pinnacle for any missing work. • If available, use “Ketchup” time in class to complete any missing work OR complete work on your own time. • It is ALWAYS a good idea to turn in missing work. • As long as it is from the current grading period, you will receive partial credit!

  11. Headphones and Cell Phones • Headphones • Wrap the cord before returning them to the box. • If you prefer to use your own, you may do so. However, they should only be used for classroom purposes. • Cell Phones: • If your cell phone is seen, it will be taken and given to Mr. Nettleton as stated in the school policy.

  12. When Your Work is Complete • Check Pinnacle or ask about missing work. • Work on homework for another class. • Go to portaportal for approved websites. • Go to other appropriate websites. • If warned about inappropriate sites, you will be restricted to portaportal sites only.

  13. Computer Games • You may play computer games IF and only if: • Instruction is over and all of your work is finished. • The sound is off or headphones are on. • If repeatedly warned about playing games during instruction, you will lose game privileges all together.

  14. Dismissal • Before Leaving Keyboarding: • Be dismissed by the bell or my word. • Stay seated until then. • Log off your computer. • Keep your station tidy. • Push in your chair. • Straighten your keyboard and mouse. • Make sure you aren’t leaving anything behind!

  15.
