VLA-COSMOS Survey -- Status 1.4 GHz Observations pilot project: 10hrs A array w/ 246 sources identified data published and publicly available large project: A array: 41 days x 6hrs = 256 hrs Observations finished (Jan. 9th, 2005) Calibration Done Imaging under-way (Finished: by July) Astrometry tests started Preliminary source catalog (~ 3000 sources)) for Spectroscopy (VIMOS & IMACS) Final source catalog (by October) including testing C array: 24 hrs to be scheduled in June - August 2005 A+C array image (in fall) 5.0 GHz Observations - BnC array: 9.5 hrs - follow-up (June’05)

  4. VLA-COSMOS - Large Project 2x 4x 16x 8x 16,000 x 16,000 pixels 0.34”/pixel 20/40 days quick-look rms ~ 14mJy/beam

VLA-COSMOS Survey -- Products & Schedule Products: - image w/ ~ 1.7” x 1.5” resolution ~ 9-10 mJy/beam rms (fairly uniform) - final source catalog (~ 4,000 sources expected) - For A array-only data & A+C array data Schedule: - final A array-only image (July 2005) - final A array-only source catalog (October 2005) - final A+C array Image (December 2005??) - A+C array catalog (early 2006)
