Homestay Homestay is a form for tourism or study abroad program that allows the visitor to rent a room from a local family to better learn the local lifestyle as well as improve their language ability.
Typical contracts and agreements Most homestay must have arrangements involve a contract or written agreement between the host and tourist. A contract will outline what is expected and may include items such as;
Chores to perform (cleaning, laundering) • Curfews • Use of the Internet, television • Use of the telephone • Guest visits • Smoking/drinking rules
as well as the details of what is being provided by the host in terms of: • Accommodations • Furniture/facilities • Meal provisions • Transportation • Communications (Internet, telephone) • Entertainment (TV, radio)
Generally, a host must provide a private room for sleep and and a washroom must be available that is convenient to use. Most other items are negotiable in terms of availability and price.

Pla Taptim pad pong gari (Pla Taptim stir fried with yellow curry powder)
For 4 Servings Ingredient 1. Pla Taptim 1 2. Oil 3 tablespoon 3. Minced Garlic 5 4. Sugar 1/2 tablespoon 5. Curry Powder 2 tablespoon 6. Yellow bean sauce 1/4 cup 7. Chinese celery 1 handful 8. Cut Green Onions(1-inch lengths) 2
1. Prepare Pla Taptim by scale and cut the Pla Taptim as pieces, and then fry it. 2. In a wok, fry minced garlic, the yellow curry powder until fragrant. Add the yellow bean sauce and heat. Add the Chinese celery and green onion. And add Pla Taptim , and cook. You may need to add a slight amount of water to prevent scorching. 3. About 5-10 minutes, lay out the contents of the wok on a platter and serve.
Ingredients 30 gms Young Coconut Meat100 gms Sugar200 ml Water50 gms Crushed Ice Preparation1. Boil the water with the sugar until it dissolves, leave to cool down to form a syrup.2. Put the syrup into a blender, add the meat from the young coconut, and the crushed ice.3. Blend for 30 seconds and serve when it's cold.
