  6. Creating a Concept Map Step 1 • Start by placing your Main Idea in the center circle or graphic. Step 2 • Decide which of the choices are your Large Topics and place them in a circle around your Main Idea. • Draw lines connecting the Main Idea and the Large Topics.

  8. Creating a Concept Map Step 3 • Decide which Subtopics belong with each Large Topic and place them near the appropriate branch. • Cut the Topics out of the Word List so you can easily rearrange them until you have it right. • Paste your Concept Map to your poster.
