What do wemeasure: • Technologies, goods and services that: • measure, control, restore, prevent, treat, minimise, research and sensitiseenvironmental damages to air, water and soil as well as problems related to waste, noise, biodiversity and landscapes. This includes “cleaner” technologies, goods and services that prevent or minimise pollution. • measure, control, restore, prevent, minimise, research and sensitiseresources depletion. This results mainly in resource-efficient technologies, goods and services that minimise the use of natural resources. --- 3 ---
Whatis NOT included: • •Technologies, goods or services where the main purpose is not environmental (e.g. public transport: main purpose is mobility) • •Natural risk management activities like flood risk • •Integrated technologies and adapted goods that already meet the national standard • •Environmental Trade - to avoid double counting concerning suppliers and distributors (overestimation of turnover) • In Austria the green jobs in environmental trade WERE estimated ex tempore to meet political needs, not any more --- 4 ---
