Previous study • Previous degree attendance affects your student support entitlement – seek advice • Holders of UK Honours degree or overseas equivalent – no entitlement to Fee Loan, Maintenance Loan or Maintenance Grant • Tuition fees can be charged at variable rates – check with chosen university

  5. Bursaries • Automatically receive minimum £329 if receive Maintenance Grant • At Leicester, maximum £1,384 depending on household income • Paid by Student Finance England • Paid automatically to bank account in February or March

  6. Scholarships • University of Leicester Scholarships (most disciplines) • £1,000 • AAB in A Levels (or equivalent) • Eliahou Dangoor Scholarships (STEM subjects) • AAA in A Levels

Case Study A: Anjali, Leicester • Household income £25,000, away from home • Tuition Fee Loan = £3,290 • Maintenance Loan = £3,497 • Maintenance Grant = £2,906 • Leicester Bursary = £1,319 • £198 per week for 39 weeks • Will owe approx £20,300 on graduation • Earning £24,000 = repayments of £67.50 per month / £16 per week
