Cameroon in Africa Some Facts Full Name: Republic of Cameroon Population: 22 million (UNESCO 2013) Capital: Yaounde • Area: 475,442 sq km • Major languages: English & French • Major Religion: Christianity & Islam
Our Mission Empowering people through education This is done specifically by: • Initiating and creating libraries in local councils and schools • Facilitating the education of underprivileged children and minorities • Promoting a reading culture of Cameroonians • Promoting computer and ICT awareness in schools • Promote academic, infrastructural and curriculum development in schools
Our working style • We cooperate with government bodies in Cameroon • We work in close collaboration with the local elites, councils, primary and secondary schools and PTAs for the promotion of the education of the Cameroonian child • Work with US based organizations like Books for Africa our largest donor and Books for International Good Will • Exploring partnership with Rotary clubs especially in the US.
