  2. The -isms • Take Excellent Notes! • After you’ve learned all the –isms, apply your knowledge to three types of –isms through examples, movies you’ve seen, or personal experience. • Notes (10 pts.) • One Pager (25 pts)

  3. Prejudice: • A judgment or opinion formed beforehand or without knowledge, thought, or reason • Usually socially learned and based on misunderstanding

  4. The following –isms you will be learning about are all poisonous! -ism: a belief or condition. IMPORTANT: “-ism” is a suffix, not a word in itself TYPES OF PREJUDICE

  5. Ableism • Prejudice against people with disabilities, especially physical disabilities.
