In this “Assessment” you will be asked to do things that you’ve already done in thinking about Percy’s challenges, his responses, and the inferences that they can make based on them. • You may use your novel, evidence flags, and notes from class to help you. • Allotted Time: 35 minutes • If you finish early, reread your favorite sections of The Lightening Thief. Directions

On your paper write three words that describe Percy Jackson as a character (e.g. Troubled, Brave, Friend). • You’ll have two minutes of thinking and writing time • On my signal, stand up with the paper in held out in front of you. • Silently walk around the room meeting up with different partners. • Read your partner’s three words and allow them to read yours. • Move on to a new partner and repeat.
