  1. We had such a great turnout for our March PA meeting and Title I Workshop. If you weren’t there you were definitely missed. We hope to see you at our next and final PA meeting on Saturday, May 14th at 9:30. We will be holding our elections for our new PA board, and if you ever wanted to get more involved this is a great time to get started! The ballots will be distributed in a couple weeks. If you would like to run for any of the available positions, please sign up and return your nomination ASAP. We also will be distributing the Student of the Month awards at that time as well. On May 14th , we also will be hosting our Title 1 Workshop about Gang Awareness that immediately will follow the PA Meeting. “Dining with Dad” will be held on May 14th, at 1:00. It will be a fun-filled afternoon planned for our fathers and their children. We will be having BBQ in the courtyard at the Main Building. There will be games, music, and other fun-filled activities planned! Mark your calendars and plan on attending because we want to see you there! Parents, have you paid all your Kindergarten and fifth grade graduation dues? If not, please get in contact with a member of the PA and make arrangements to pay as soon as possible. We will be hosting a Bunny Hop event on Friday April 8th, for students in Pre-K to Grade 2. We look forward to seeing you there. It’s sure to be a fun-filled event with a variety of entertainment, food, and beverages for your pleasure. Cost of the event is $10.00 person, including adults. We are in the last phase of the 2010-2011 school, and the state exams are rapidly approaching. Our students and teachers are working hard in preparation for these exams and we ask for your continued support at home. The Candy Sale which ended March 1st was a huge success and we would like to thank everyone for your support and participation! CDEC 22 Annual, Business & Calendar meeting CDEC22 meetings are held to inform the community of updates within District 22. Children are always welcome! Guest Speaker: Marie Kallow, UFT; Discussion: Budget Cuts April 7, 2011 at 7 PM 5619 Flatlands Avenue Have you checked out the school’s official website at www.PS152.org ? It looks GREAT, and it is filled with lots of information and links to support our parents with your child’s academic needs! The best part is that you can find it in your language of choice, and it’s only a click away. Adult Education classes for English as a Second Language and GED courses that take place every Saturday from 8:30AM-12:30 PM. Parents who are interested can stop by and see Yvette or Yolene in the main building. We are a mandated uniform school, and students are expected to be in a uniform every day. If you need to purchase a gym uniform, please ask for a order slip or go directly to the main building and stop by the PA office located on the 1st floor (Room 126). If you have any gently used uniforms that your child has recently outgrown, would you consider donating those uniforms to the PA so they can be distributed to families in our school community who may be in need of assistance? Parents, we need your help…Please check your various supermarkets, BJ’s, and Costco purchases for Box Tops coupons and send them in with your child. Each box top coupon equates to money for the school so the more box tops, the more money for the school. Box tops are on many household items that you may not realize they are on so check everything! Just cut them off and send them to Tammy Zaccheo at the Annex or main building. Before you throw out your toilet paper wrapper, child's juice box, or discard of a soup can, please check them for those important box top coupons We have a goal of $500, and we are long way from attaining that goal but with your help, we can reach it! Have you logged onto ARIS yet? Please contact Tammy at 347-563-4757 or tzaccheo@schools.nyc.gov to make an appointment. Help us to achieve our 90% goal by the end of the school year.
