  2. A Continuous Development of RM Associations… The need for risk practitioners to meet and share concerns and best practices is a “must-do” around the world. To achieve such goal, a few key regions developed over the last 40 years Risk Management and Insurance Association with a continuous success and a strong expansion for a vast majority of them. For instance: Over the years, these associations have been able to achieve great results such as: • Structuring the community and representing the “market place”, • Promoting the evolving role of risk managers, • Advocating and lobbying towards the Authorities, the Regulators, the market and the media, • Developing facilities for best practices sharing: conferences, working groups, surveys, position papers, technical reports… • Supporting and developing education program. Worldwide: IFRIMA Europe: FERMA (Conference gathers approx 2,000 attendees) North-America: RIMS (Annual Conference gathers approx 10,000 attendees) Europe: AIRMIC, AMRAE (Annual conference gathers more 2,000 attendees)… (more than 20 national associations)

  3. … about PARIMA PARIMA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development of risk management practices in Asia PARIMA’s goal is to strengthen and enhance the culture of risk management by creating opportunities for education and dialogue within the community Individual membership is open to managers and corporate officers involved in risk management activities including crisis management, business continuity planning, loss prevention, insurance purchasing and enterprise risk management PARIMA is supported by Corporate Associate Member subscriptions from Asia’s leading insurers and brokers, including: AIG, AON, JLT, Marsh, Lloyds, RSA, Willis and Zurich. Corporate sponsorship enables PARIMA to maintain low individual membership costs and offer country events at no additional charges to its members BY RISK MANAGERS FOR RISK MANAGERS

Objective s of PARIMA The association should exist to represent and support its members by coordinating and enhancing awareness and effective use of risk management, insurance and risk financing in Asia-Pacific Such ambitious objective should be supported by the following critical actions: • To set and promote professional practices and standards, • To organize conferences and seminars, • To set up surveys and benchmarks to identify and share current practices, • To facilitate the development of national associations in Asia-Pacific when needed, • To monitor new regulations and standards, • To detect early issues that can impact our profession, • To issue guidance and position papers, • To establish technical alliances and ad hoc coalitions with stakeholders, • To support national associations on development and application of risk management

Principles of PARIMA Promote – to offer valuable programs to promote lifelong relationships with PARIMA and position itself as the “backbone” association for risk managers in Asia Awareness – to increase awareness of the risk management community by contact and collaboration with risk managers, risk management professionals, organisations, sponsors and other risk professional associations globally Respect – to treat our members and partners from the diverse interests, talents, and backgrounds Integrity – to be the true risk management association built on integrity as the core of PARIMA to gain the trust of its members and business associations Mutual – to serve as the channel for mutual growth of the Risk Management community in Asia by being the integral resource for professional development Attitude – to develop the right attitude and take bold steps by genuinely endeavouring for meaningful collaborative relationships with selected partners
