  3. My District Red Wing uses ROAR strategy as a Tier II intervention. 1. Team of teachers attended atraining by Jane Anderson through Saint Mary’s 2. Implementation in special education 3. Data collection-- Saw tremendous success! 4. Training of additional staff, support staff and parents 5. Now, school and district wide usage

  4. Is ROAR successful? What we have found: 1. ROAR can increase reading fluency as well as comprehension by 2 grade levels. 2. Works well for kids with English as a second language 3. Increases fluency with students with Dyslexia 4. Spelling (Knowledge of words) increases for all student *** Kids feel successful when they are able to document their own growth
