5. Silvicultural Work • 3469 acres of timber stand improvement and other work possible; 1,200 acres promised. • 247 acres of harvest/restoration in Roses Creek Project/Miller Mountain Stewardship • Another 103 acres of restoration harvests promised over the next 10 years • It should be easy to exceed this goal with Armstrong Creek and another large watershed project

7. Non-native Invasive Plants • Linville Gorge EA in progress • Forest-wide NNIP EA allows treatment on the rest of the forest. • Treatments on Shortoff and Linville Mountain outside Wilderness can begin immediately • Wilson Creek is a stated priority in the proposal
