KS3 Information Evening • Our current KS3 Curriculum is based on the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority’s ‘Big Picture’ • What are we trying to achieve? • How do we organise learning? • How well are we achieving our aims? • All schools with secondary age children use this to evaluate their curriculum as well as the welfare and attainment of their pupils

KS3 Information Evening • The curriculum we offer is planned to support our holistic aims for pupils and is underpinned by a set of common values and purposes: • Behaviour and Safety – care, guidance and support • Cross Curricular thinking – making connections • Personalising learning – maximising achievement through careful monitoring of progress • Achievement AND enjoyment! • A lifelong passion for learning

KS3 Information Evening • Learning Pathways – in Y8 begin thinking ahead to decision-making and curriculum choices in Y9… • We have links with SBHS/NBHS, and lessons introducing pupils to information, advice and guidance about the possibilities in the world of work as well as further and higher education.
