LEADERSHIP PROGRAM Focus And Requirements • Focus: • Potential leaders’ individual development and personal growth • Interpersonal skills • Leadership development in real time • Requirements: • We are looking for students who wish to expand their leadership skill set while at Wharton and beyond graduation • Willingness to be reflective and self-analytical • Willingness to learn about yourself • Openness to feedback
Program Design • Designed sequentially so that the experiences build upon one another • Moves participant from self-awareness to action • Coaching sessions provide professional guidance on interpersonal challenges. • Note: Coaching is not counseling!!!
Program Overview Participants Open to approximately 90 firstyear students serving in leadership positions Spring • Online DISC Assessment • Small Group Dynamics • Coaching Action Plan • Based on steps 1 and 2 and MGMT652 coursework • Coaching Session • 1 session with Executive Coach (total session time = 4 hours) • Summer • Alumni Mentoring Relationship • Fall • Communications Workshop • Coaching Sessions • Remainder of 4-hour allotment of sessions with Executive Coach Program Outline

Coach: Laura Hammons • Laura Hammons is the Principal and Founder of Con Brio Coaching. She brings over 20 years of experience as a teacher, financial administrator, leadership curriculum specialist, team leader and manager to her coaching. • Laura holds a M.S in Cross-Cultural Communications from the University of Pennsylvania. She received her coaching certification through Georgetown University’s Leadership Coaching program. • She maintains active memberships in the International Coach Federation and the Philadelphia Area Coaches Alliance (PACA). Laura served on PACA’s Executive Board of Directors from 2004-2006. • Laura is also a violinist who specializes in orchestral music. She has experienced first-hand the importance of being able to lead effectively from any position in the violin section. Laura regularly performs concerts with the Lansdowne Symphony Orchestra and the North Penn Symphony Orchestra. • The name, Con Brio Coaching, comes from an Italian musical term; con brio: with vigor. It reflects Laura's energetic and vigorous approach to orchestral playing and leadership coaching.
