Grasslands Info • They are Terrestrial Ecosystems • Terrestrial Eco-systems are Forests and Grasslands • Aquatic Eco-systems are lakes and ponds • Grasslands have fertile land with tall grasses • They get less than forests rain and get medium amount • Temperature depend on were they are located

  3. Animals In The Grasslands • The Animal life is Prairie dogs, mice, bison, grasshoppers,African Elephants, zebras, Black Rhinoceros, Black-footed Ferret’s, Brown Hyena’s, Giraffes and much more

  4. What Does It Look Like • They have bright green grass many trees clear weather • Many people like to hike there • Called Savannahs, plains, and pampas • They have woody shrubs

Main Forest Info - Forest ecosystems are found in area's where the temperature of the air is mild & where there is lot's of rainfall - There are 3 major types of forest ecosystems which are the deciduous forest, coniferous forest, and the tropical forest - Trees have needles and leaves which are usually on ferns, shrubs, and a variety of animals and grasses - Forest usually have more rain than grassland

  9. Animals In The Forest - The animals that live in a deciduous forest are black bears, red fox, vole, cardinals and rabbits - Animals that live in a rain forest are panther, monkeys, capybara, snakes, and spider's

  10. Deciduous Forest • Have trees that lose there leaves each fall • The animals that live in that area are bears, rabbits, deer, snakes, and owls. • Plants that are most common to grow there are ferns and moss.

  11. Tropical Rainforest - Are found in warmer area’s with lots of rain fall - This forest is dense with lots of plants and animal life - There are thousands of different organisms that live in the rainforest - Animals that live in this area are monkeys, reptiles, parrots, and toucans

  12. Coniferous Forest - Coniferous forest are in areas that have colder temps. - They contain trees that produce seeds in cones and that have leaves shaped like needles and pine trees - Animals that live in this area are finches, jays, elk., moose, beaver’s, and wolves.
