  6. P2P Video integration • To be released in three stages 1.7.4, 1.8 and 1.9 • This means CTS endpoints will be able to connect to other CUCM endpoints (7985, 8945, 9971, Cius etc) or former TANDBERG endpoints (Movi, E20, EX, C series etc) without the need of a video transcoder.

Media Support for two cascaded CTMS • Up to 90 segments • Reduce BW needed across different locations • Support for Static meetings only 3 segment stream (like a 3010) CTMS CTMS • Requires ad-hoc resources, scheduling not available (although will be in later release) • Good for customers that have multiple CTMSs with ad-hoc resources, spread across geographic locations and BW consumption on WAN is an issue • Allows large all-hands type meetings, although director controls will have limited functionality in 1.8 release

  23. Support for CTS Endpoints • TMS release 13.1 adds support for scheduling CTS endpoints • CUCM 8.5 or later is required. TMS will log into CUCM with admin credentials and return all registered CTS systems in CUCM • CTS 1.7.0 or later is required for TMS management • When a CTS system is added to TMS, TMS can provide the following functions: OBTP with TelePresence Server Schedule P2P calls Read system information Monitor response status and call status Dial out from endpoint

One Button to Push • OBTP will be available on the Cisco Touch 12, Touch 8, and OSD with remote control • Until CTS release 1.8, all CTS multipoint meetings will only be scheduled on TelePresence Server. Once 1.8 is out, MCU or TS can be multipoint device. • EX/C-Series on TC5 can use OBTP for TS or MCU • Registration to VCS is required for OBTP on TC5 EX/C-Series endpoints TC5 on VCS TC5 on VCS CTS 1.7.0 or later
