  2. The Legend of King Arthur • Who was king Arthur? • Why is he a legend? • Who made his sword? • Where did he live?

  3. Who was King Arthur? • He was the leader of the knights of the round table. • He was a medieval king. • He was a legend for searching for the Holy Grail. • He was a great Hero for bringing chivalry to his kingdom.

  4. Why is he a legend? • King Arthur is a legend because he found the holy grail. • King Arthur pulled the sword from the stone. • King Arthur fought for truth and honor. • King Arthur was loyal and fought for justice.

  5. Who made Arthur’s sword? • The Lady of the lake made King Arthur’s sword. • The swords name was Excalibur. • King Arthurs sword was made of a metal not known to man. • Sir Gawain gave the sword back to the Lady of the Lake after King Arthur died.

  6. Where did he live? • Some people think he lived in Ireland. • Some think he lived in Great Britain. • He lived many places as he went on Quests far from his kingdom. He went back to his castle after his quest.
