  7. The Start of the Study on the Japanese Giant Salamander. Dr.Kobara, the first director of Asa zoo initiated this project. Followed by the establishment of JAZA facilities Himeji city Aquarium Koube city Aquarium Miyajima town Aquarium Nagoya city Zoo Kochi prefectural Zoo

  8. We found out a breeding nest under the bank on the edges of the river in 1976.

  10. One owner male possessed the nest exclusively.

  11. One female entered the nest.

  12. Several males followed her.

  13. The female came out 2 hours later.

  14. Other males came out too.

  15. Searching in the nest, newly-laid egg-mass came out.
