PROYECTO: Pronostico del tiempo Student Instructions • Overview: You will write a television script and create a visual for a weather forecast for four locations in the Western Hemisphere. Pretending you are a weather person, you will need to greet your audience, tell us your name, pick a day of the week and tell us what day it is and finally give us the weather for the four locations you have chosen. You can tell us about other days in the week if you desire. You have the option of creating a poster, Power Point or video to use as a visual during your presentation. • Task: • CHOOSE: four locations in the Western Hemisphere. • CREATE A SCRIPT: You will work on your own to create a script for a weather forecast for four locations in the Western Hemisphere. • ROUGH DRAFT: Write a rough draft of the weather forecast, you will be presenting. • Exchange scripts with a partner for peer editing. • Make corrections based on your partners’ comments. • 4. CREATE: one or more maps for your forecast on a poster, PowerPoint or video.(as a visual) • Add drawings or symbols that indicate the weather in each city you plan to talk about and the temperature there. • REHEARSE: your forecast with a partner. Partners give students feedback about the content, accuracy, and presentation of the forecast. • OPTIONAL: VIDEOTAPE your forecast or you can present live in class • 7. PRESENT: Forecast presentation to class Student Learning Assessment: Students will be assessed on their speaking and presentational skills. Note: A detailed Rubric has been provided for this project
