  2. What are we learning? • We are learning about important leaders during different imperial periods of Islamic history.

  3. How do I know if I learned it? • I can give two examples why these Islamic emperors are important: • Mehmed II the Conqueror • Suleiman the Magnificent • Shah Abbas

  4. Trade during the Islamic Golden Age • Islamic Empires were created thanks to trade– the Silk Road, Red Sea, and Mediterranean Sea made these empires very wealthy.

  5. Mehmed II the Conqueror • Mehmed II the Conqueror: • Organized Ottoman government and simplified the laws • Encouraged Muslim knowledge to grow
