(United States Department of Agriculture) • Get enough nutrients within calorie needs • Maintain a healthy weight • Be physically active • Choose whole grains, fruits, vegetables & milk (provide fiber) • Limit fats and cholesterol • Be choosy about carbohydrate foods • Reduce sodium and increase potassium • Avoid alcoholic beverages • Keep food safe
