DESCRIPCIÓN DE UN ANIMAL CARACTERISTICA DEL BIOMA El avestruz es un ave de carne roja pero con características de carne blanca, combina un exquisito y particular sabor, es suave y jugosa, con un elevado contenido en ácidos grasos como el omega tres, bajo contenido en colesterol, grasa y calorías (un kilo de carne de avestruz contiene 114 calorías, contra 211 de la res, 205 del pollo y 187 del pavo). Estas cualidades nutritivas la colocan como la mejor y más sana carne comercial , muy apetecida en los mercados internacionales y últimamente en el consumo interno.
