  6. MITIGATED CONCERNS: (Page 2)

  7. Oculus Rift VR to be used to control the arm!

  8. Animated Controller Movement Graphs (all units inmeters) The data is gathered from tracking a single controller. The axes are centered on the starting position Cube Graph: User attempts to make a cube Animated cube drawing: Red dot is the controller. Axes are the same as the cube graph

  9. COM port open via C++ Fig 2. While running C++ Script, PuTTY is unable to connect Fig 1. Main() for COM port script Windowswill not allow programs to open ports when they are already open. If the script isable to open the COM port, thenattempting to open the port with PuTTY while the C++ script is running will yield an error. I attempted to connect to COM3 using the PuTTY application while the script was open. This yielded the PuTTY error “Unable to open connection to COM3” (Fig. 2). Because the COM3 was already in use, PuTTY was unable to connect. When I closed my script, PuTTY was able to successfully connect to COM3 (Fig. 3). Fig 3. After C++ script is closed, PuTTY is able to connect

  10. Base Fabrication Progress Due to unforeseen troubleshooting, the initial setup on the lathe took longer than anticipated. This week should go smoother, and we will have more time in the shop scheduled with Paul Lee. All operations thus far have been performed on the lathe.

  11. Updated Quad Chart with Quick CAD Concept Model The model clearly shows what has already been designed and what is new, but it should get the basic idea across. It will be updated as more of the arm is designed.

  12. Individual Status Report: Grant Kalfus Estimated Hours Week 8: 9 Hours

  13. Individual Status Report: Kieran Jackson  Estimated Hours Week 8: 9hours

  14. Individual Status Report: David Meyer Estimated Hours Week 8: 10 Hours Less progress was made this week on my end than anticipated because of medical things that I was dealing with. This should not be an issue moving forward unless more unforeseen issues arise.
