  2. Context Is • A broad study of an idea or theme. In our case, the theme is Personal Journeys • You will be assessed on the quality of your ideas and the quality of your writing • We will focus on 2 main texts, but have a look at others too • Context is not a text response

  3. Purpose of Studying Texts In AOS3 Is: • To enrich your thinking about personal journeys • Provide you with ideas • Challenge your ideas • Provide examples you can use in your assessment task

  4. Key Questions of this Unit • How is the concept of the journey explored in the texts? • How do different journeys challenge us physically, emotionally and intellectually? • What are the differences and similarities between physical, imaginative and inner journeys? • What new insights can be gained through experiencing journeys? • How do journeys influence and change our understanding of ourselves and the world around us?
