  6. Opportunity cost • Opportunity cost is the cost incurred (sacrifice) by choosing one option over the next best alternative (which may be equally desired). Thus, opportunity cost is the cost of pursuing one choice instead of another. • An acre is about the size of ??? • An acre produces ??? Pounds of cotton or ??? Pounds of strawberries. • A farmer could choose to sell an acre of farm land. An acre can be divided up into 4 home lots. If each home lot sells for $100,000, How much is the acre worth if the farmer sells it?
